IIT Madras to Showcase India’s Deep-Tech Excellence at Bharat Innovates 2026 in France


Chennai, India / Nice, France, June 2026: The prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras is set to represent India’s growing technological prowess at Bharat Innovates 2026, an international innovation showcase in Nice. The institute will present a diverse portfolio of 15 IIT Madras-incubated startups and cutting-edge technologies, highlighting India’s advancements in deep-tech innovation, sustainability, mobility, telecommunications, and advanced manufacturing.

Among the featured innovators is Planys Technologies, known for its advanced underwater inspection and robotic solutions that support maritime infrastructure and offshore industries. Zerocircle will showcase environmentally friendly alternatives aimed at reducing plastic waste, while REIO Systems will present technologies focused on sustainability and resource optimization.

In the telecommunications sector, Astrome Technologies and WiSig Networks will demonstrate advanced connectivity solutions designed to enhance broadband access and accelerate the deployment of future communication networks. These innovations are expected to contribute significantly to the evolution of 5G, 6G, and next-generation wireless infrastructure worldwide.

Transportation innovation will be represented by TuTr Hyperloop, which is developing futuristic high-speed transit systems that could revolutionize passenger and cargo transportation through Hyperloop technology.

The exhibition will also spotlight groundbreaking research initiatives from InCent-LGD, which is advancing innovation in the lab-grown diamond sector, and National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts, a center focused on modernizing maritime and coastal infrastructure through technology-driven solutions.
