New Delhi: The third round of discussions between the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) delegation and the government concluded on Saturday, marking a significant step toward resolving the ongoing student-led movement over education reforms and examination-related concerns.
During the meeting, the CJP delegation submitted a written proposal outlining issues connected to the protest and reiterating its five-point charter of demands. The delegation urged the government to take concrete measures to address students’ grievances, improve the examination system, and ensure accountability in the education sector.
In response, the government provided several important assurances aimed at building confidence among the protesters.
According to officials, the government assured the delegation that no legal action would be taken against the organizers or participants of the movement. It also stated that no new criminal cases related to the protest would be registered, a move intended to create a favorable atmosphere for continued dialogue.
The government also expressed its deep condolences to the families of students who reportedly lost their lives during the course of the movement. Authorities assured the delegation that the affected families would receive the maximum compensation permissible under existing rules and regulations.
On the delegation’s five-point agenda, which primarily focuses on education and examination reforms, the government conveyed a positive and constructive approach.
