Gariaband Police Honors Village Children Using Street Plays to Raise Social Awareness


Gariaband, Chhattisgarh, India |In an inspiring example of youth-led community engagement, the Gariaband Police honored a group of talented children from Barula Village for their remarkable efforts in spreading social awareness through street plays (nukkad nataks). The young performers were recognized and rewarded by Superintendent of Police Vedvrat Sirmaur, who praised their dedication to bringing positive change to society.

Despite their young age, the children have taken on the responsibility of educating people by traveling to different villages and performing impactful street plays. Their performances focus on several critical social issues, including the importance of education, drug de-addiction, road safety and traffic rule compliance, and protection against cybercrime.

After learning about the children’s initiative, SP Vedvrat Sirmaur personally met with the young artists to understand their experiences and appreciate their commitment to social welfare.
