SUKMA, Chhattisgarh | In a significant step toward digital inclusion and rural empowerment, the Sukma District Administration has inaugurated a new Aadhaar Service Center along with an Atal Panchayat Digital Service Center in Misma Gram Panchayat under the Konta Janpad Panchayat. The initiative has been launched under the guidance of District Collector Amit Kumar to improve access to digital government services in one of Chhattisgarh’s previously Maoist-affected regions.
The newly established center is expected to transform the way residents access essential public services by bringing Aadhaar enrollment, updates, and digital governance services directly to their villages. Until now, many villagers had to travel long distances to complete even basic documentation procedures.
The facility will serve not only Misma but also the neighboring villages of Samsetti, Pinnabhejji, Mundapalli, Chichorguda, and Punpalli, benefiting thousands of rural residents. By reducing travel time and administrative hurdles, the center is expected to strengthen access to government welfare schemes, identity services, and digital infrastructure.
According to district officials, the center offers a wide range of UIDAI-authorized Aadhaar services for prescribed fees. These include:
- New Aadhaar Enrollment
- Biometric Updates
- Demographic Updates, including changes to name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email address
Officials believe that expanding digital services into remote regions will significantly improve good governance, public service delivery, and citizen participation in government programs.

“Establishing digital identity services in remote communities is one of the most effective ways to improve access to education, healthcare, banking, and government benefits. Sukma’s initiative represents meaningful progress toward inclusive digital governance.”
