NEW DELHI, June 2026 — India’s largest integrated power utility, NTPC Limited, has appointed Atul Kamalakar Desai as Executive Director (Senior Management), effective June 8, 2026, recognizing his nearly 37 years of dedicated service and extensive leadership experience in power plant operations and maintenance.

The promotion was announced as part of a broader senior management elevation exercise in which 34 NTPC officials were promoted to the rank of Executive Director. The appointments were disclosed through regulatory filings submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in compliance with SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

Desai began his career with NTPC on September 5, 1989, and has completed approximately 36.7 years of service with the company. Throughout his long tenure, he has held a variety of key operational and leadership positions, contributing significantly to NTPC’s power generation capabilities.
