New Delhi |In a significant move aimed at improving the travel experience for millions of passengers, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Novo Cabs and WTI Cabs to strengthen last-mile connectivity at airports across India.
The agreements were formalized in the presence of Nivedita Dubey, Member (HR), AAI, along with senior officials from AAI and representatives of the participating cab service providers.
Enhancing Passenger Convenience
The newly established partnerships are designed to provide affordable, reliable, and seamless transportation services for air travelers commuting to and from airports. By improving ground transportation options, AAI aims to ensure a smoother and more convenient travel experience for both domestic and international passengers.
Under the agreement, Novo Cabs will operate transportation services at Jammu Airport and Srinagar Airport, offering passengers dependable cab facilities and improving accessibility in the region.
Meanwhile, WTI Cabs will provide organized transportation services at several major airports across India, helping travelers access a broader range of mobility solutions and reducing dependence on unregulated transport options.
Addressing Last-Mile Connectivity Challenges
Industry experts often identify last-mile connectivity as one of the most important factors influencing passenger satisfaction. Even when airport infrastructure is modern and efficient, travelers can face challenges reaching their final destinations if reliable transportation options are unavailable.
Through these strategic partnerships, AAI seeks to bridge that gap by offering passengers structured, dependable, and professionally managed cab services. The initiative is expected to reduce travel-related inconveniences, shorten waiting times, and enhance overall airport accessibility.
According to AAI officials, the collaboration aligns with the organization’s long-term vision of delivering a world-class, passenger-centric airport ecosystem that prioritizes convenience, safety, and efficiency.
Supporting India’s Rapidly Growing Aviation Industry
India’s aviation sector has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, driven by increasing passenger traffic, expanding regional air connectivity, and continuous investments in airport infrastructure. As more travelers choose air transport, the need for efficient ground transportation systems has become increasingly critical.
The partnerships with Novo Cabs and WTI Cabs are expected to complement ongoing airport modernization efforts by ensuring smoother connectivity between airports and nearby cities, business districts, tourist destinations, and residential areas.
Aviation analysts believe that strengthening airport transportation networks will play a key role in supporting India’s broader aviation growth strategy while improving the end-to-end travel experience for passengers.
A Step Toward Smarter Airport Mobility
With the introduction of organized cab services through these partnerships, AAI is taking another step toward creating a more integrated and traveler-friendly transportation ecosystem. The initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to enhancing passenger services and ensuring that airport journeys remain efficient from arrival to final destination.
As India’s aviation network continues to expand, improved airport-to-city connectivity is expected to become an increasingly important component of the country’s transportation infrastructure, benefiting travelers, tourism, and regional economic development alike.
