Railway Board Official Joins RITES Leadership Under Ministry of Railways Approval

New Delhi, India — RITES Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Atul Singh as a Part-Time Government Nominee Director on the company’s Board, following approval from the Ministry of Railways and the Hon’ble President of India.

The appointment was disclosed through a regulatory filing submitted to stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

According to the filing, the appointment was approved through an official Ministry of Railways communication dated May 27, 2026.

Senior Railway Board Officer Joins the Board

Shri Atul Singh currently serves as Principal Executive Director (Production Units, Workshops & Innovation) in the Railway Board, one of the key policymaking and administrative bodies of Indian Railways.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate, he belongs to the 1991 batch of the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) and brings more than three decades of experience in railway operations, production systems, engineering management, and public sector administration.

Industry observers believe his appointment could strengthen coordination between Indian Railways and RITES in areas such as infrastructure modernization, railway manufacturing, innovation initiatives, and project execution.

Over his 30-year career, Shri Atul Singh has held several important positions within Indian Railways and related government departments.

  • For as long as he continues to hold his present Railway Board position, or
  • Until further orders are issued by the competent authority

The company also confirmed that he has not been debarred from holding the office of director by SEBI or any other regulatory authority.
