New Delhi : Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), one of India’s leading public sector power utilities, has achieved a significant milestone in corporate governance and ethical compliance by receiving the prestigious ISO 37001 Certification for the successful implementation of its Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).
The certification was awarded by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), recognizing DVC’s commitment to transparency, accountability, integrity, and anti-corruption practices across its operations.
The certification ceremony was held in the presence of senior leadership officials, where the Chairman of DVC formally unveiled the ISO 37001 certification. The event was attended by the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Executive Directors, Heads of DVC Projects, senior officials, and vigilance teams from across the organization.
DVC officials highlighted the crucial role played by the vigilance department, especially the Chief Vigilance Officer and his team, in successfully implementing the Anti-Bribery Management System throughout the corporation. The initiative reflects the organization’s long-term commitment to strengthening ethical governance mechanisms and ensuring compliance with globally accepted anti-bribery standards.
In another major development, DVC also launched an educational training module titled “Anti-Bribery Management System of DVC” on the national digital learning platform iGOT Karmayogi. The module was officially launched on May 26, 2026, by the Chairman of DVC and has been made accessible to all executives of the corporation for online learning and awareness enhancement.
The ABMS training module was developed internally by DVC’s vigilance team in collaboration with the Training & Development Department. The course aims to educate employees on ethical workplace behavior, anti-corruption measures, vigilance practices, and transparent governance systems. Officials stated that the digital learning initiative would help reinforce a culture of integrity and accountability across all levels of the organization.
The ISO 37001 certification is an internationally recognized standard designed to help organizations establish, implement, maintain, and improve anti-bribery compliance programs. By adopting the framework, DVC joins a growing list of institutions worldwide focused on minimizing corruption risks and strengthening public confidence in governance systems.
According to DVC, the achievement demonstrates the corporation’s continuous efforts to institutionalize ethical business conduct, vigilance awareness, good governance practices, anti-corruption compliance systems, and organizational transparency.
