MECL Hosts AI Procurement Workshop to Boost Transparency and Efficiency


Nagpur : Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL) has taken a significant step toward modernizing its procurement systems by organizing a specialized workshop on the “Use of AI Agents in Procurement & Contract Division” at its corporate office in Nagpur on April 22, 2026.

The initiative reflects MECL’s broader push toward digital transformation, with a focus on leveraging artificial intelligence to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making across its procurement operations.

Leadership and Industry Collaboration

The workshop was chaired by Pankaj Pandey, Director (Technical), and led by Praveen Rakhade. It also featured participation from industry experts Rohit Kalyankar and Akhil Jindal of Intellect Design Arena Ltd, who shared insights on integrating customized AI-driven solutions into procurement workflows.

The session was hosted by Anita Pradhan and saw participation from cross-functional teams, including Procurement & Contracts, Finance, Stores & Disposal, IT, and Human Resources.

The workshop explored how AI-powered tools can transform procurement systems through:
