Finance Ministry Appoints NABARD Executive Manikumar Sivaramakrishnan as IFCI Deputy Managing Director


New Delhi — India’s Department of Financial Services, under the Ministry of Finance, has approved the appointment of Manikumar Sivaramakrishnan as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of IFCI Limited for a tenure of three years.

According to an official order issued on February 16, 2026, the competent authority cleared the appointment for a term of three years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Senior NABARD Executive

Sivaramakrishnan, born on March 30, 1970, is currently serving as Chief General Manager (CGM) at the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. His appointment follows approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, referenced under Order No. 18/21/2025-EO(ACC) dated February 12, 2026.

Strengthening IFCI’s Leadership

IFCI Limited is one of India’s leading development finance institutions, with a key role in infrastructure financing and industrial development. The induction of a senior executive from NABARD is expected to strengthen IFCI’s leadership depth and support its long-term strategic and financial objectives.

The appointment order was issued by Gopi Nath, Under Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Financial Services.
