Mungeli : Collector Amrit Vikas Topno reviewed the functioning of various departments, priority government schemes and pending cases during a time-limit review meeting held at the Maniyari Conference Hall of the District Collectorate on Tuesday.
The Collector directed officials to give priority to matters concerning the public and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes and services within the prescribed timelines.
Drive Ordered to Remove Cattle from Roads
Taking serious note of accidents and traffic problems caused by cattle sitting along roads in urban and rural areas, Topno directed Chief Municipal Officers and Chief Executive Officers of Janpad Panchayats to conduct drives to remove cattle from roadsides and ensure regular monitoring.
He instructed officials to conduct awareness campaigns among cattle owners and encourage them not to leave their animals unattended on public roads. Where necessary, action should also be taken as per the applicable rules. Officials were asked to maintain regular field-level surveillance, with special attention to accident-prone locations.
Focus on Improving Power Supply
The Collector also reviewed complaints related to the electricity department and directed officials to ensure a smooth and reliable power supply.
He called for prompt resolution of electricity-related complaints and timely repairs of defective transformers, power lines and other technical issues. Electricity officials were instructed to conduct regular field inspections and monitoring to minimise inconvenience to residents.
Preparations Reviewed for Possible Chief Minister’s Visit
Topno reviewed preparations for the possible visit of the Chief Minister to Madkudweep in Sargaon village of Pathariya development block on September 25. Department-wise responsibilities were assigned to officials, with instructions to complete all arrangements within the निर्धारित timeline.
Preparations reviewed included land levelling, barricading, stage and seating arrangements, inauguration and foundation-stone laying activities, cultural programmes, drinking water, electricity, sanitation, traffic management and parking arrangements.
The Collector directed all departments to work in close coordination and regularly review arrangements related to the programme. He also stressed strict compliance with protocol and instructed officials to inspect the venue and other important locations before finalising the arrangements.
Officials were also directed to ensure cleanliness, maintenance and other necessary arrangements at the Circuit House and other key locations.
Review of Pending Public Grievances
The meeting also included a department-wise review of pending cases under Sushasan Tihar, Chief Minister’s Jan Darshan, CM Helpline and the time-limit monitoring system.
Topno said that disposal of public complaints and applications should not remain limited to paperwork and that officials must ensure resolution of the actual problems faced by applicants. He directed departments to resolve cases within the prescribed time and inform the concerned applicants about the action taken.
Online Portals and Departmental Progress Reviewed
The Collector further reviewed departmental progress and cases registered on various online portals, including Viksit Bharat, caste certificate and AgriStack portals.
Officials were instructed to clear pending cases within the stipulated time and regularly update the data on the respective portals.
Topno directed all department heads to regularly review the work under their jurisdiction and ensure effective implementation of government schemes and programmes in line with the administration’s priorities.
He called upon officials to work with responsibility, promptness and coordination to provide better services to the public.
Additional Collector Nishtा Pandey Tiwari, G.L. Yadav, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Gokul Rawate and officials and employees from various departments attended the meeting.
