Retiring employees honoured for their dedicated service; full retirement dues handed over at Bilaspur headquarters

BILASPUR, August 31, 2026: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organised a farewell ceremony at its headquarters in Bilaspur on Monday to honour three employees who retired from service on August 31, 2026.

The retiring employees — Vivek Singh Chandel, Librarian in the Human Resources Department; Alok Kumar Jaiswal, Assistant Engineer in the ENT Department; and Jasper Karl, Senior DEO in the Materials Management Department — were felicitated for their years of dedicated service to the company.

Retiring Employees Felicitated

The three employees were honoured in the chamber of SECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) with traditional farewell gestures, including shawls, coconuts and flower garlands.

They were also handed over cheques representing their full retirement dues, marking the formal completion of their service with the company.

The ceremony reflected SECL’s tradition of recognising employees for their contribution and ensuring that retiring personnel receive their entitled retirement benefits.

Formal Farewell Programme Held at Headquarters

Following the felicitation at the CMD’s chamber, a formal farewell programme was organised in the conference hall of SECL’s administrative building.

Chief Vigilance Officer Himanshu Jain attended the programme as the chief guest.

The event was attended by senior departmental heads, officers, trade union representatives and employees from different departments.

Speakers at the programme appreciated the professional contribution, commitment and work skills of the retiring employees.

Senior Management Appreciates Their Contribution

Senior management representatives acknowledged the role played by the retiring employees during their respective tenures and said their dedicated efforts had contributed to the growth and success of SECL.

They highlighted the importance of the experience and institutional knowledge accumulated by employees during their long association with the organisation.

The management said that the contributions of the retiring employees would continue to be remembered by their colleagues and the organisation.

They also extended their best wishes to the retirees and their families for a healthy, peaceful and prosperous life after retirement.

Retiring Employees Express Gratitude

Speaking on the occasion, the retiring employees expressed their gratitude to SECL and their colleagues for the support and cooperation they had received throughout their service.

They said that SECL employees work with dedication and maintain a strong spirit of cooperation and mutual support.

They also recalled their professional journey with the company and thanked their colleagues and senior officers for their encouragement and assistance over the years.

Programme Conducted by Rajbhasha Department

The farewell programme was conducted by Manager (Rajbhasha) Smt. Savita Nirmalkar.

She also read out the service profiles of the three retiring employees, highlighting their professional journey and contributions to SECL.

The ceremony concluded with appreciation and good wishes for the retirees as they begin a new phase of life after completing their service with the company.

Acknowledging Employees’ Long-Term Service

The farewell ceremony underlined SECL’s emphasis on recognising the contribution of its employees at the completion of their service.
