Special News: Achyutanand Dwivedi Appointed Editor of The Pioneer English Edition Along with Hindi


Raipur: Achyutanand Dwivedi, currently the Managing Editor of The Pioneer Hindi, has now been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Editor of The Pioneer English edition. With this appointment, he has become the first editor in the history of Chhattisgarh to oversee both the Hindi and English editions of the same newspaper.

The Pioneer, one of India’s oldest and most respected media houses with a legacy of over 160 years, has assigned this important responsibility to Dwivedi in recognition of his consistent performance, editorial excellence, and strong management skills. He has been serving as the Managing Editor of The Pioneer Hindi since 2018 and has played a key role in strengthening the newspaper’s presence in the state over the past eight years.

This rare decision to appoint a single journalist as editor of two language editions highlights Dwivedi’s editorial competence and leadership capabilities. Notably, he has achieved this milestone at a relatively young age, as he is yet to cross 40, making the achievement even more remarkable.

Before joining The Pioneer Group, Achyutanand Dwivedi served as Managing Editor of the daily Nav Pradesh. He has been associated with The Pioneer Group for the last eight years, earning the trust of the management through his dedication and effective newsroom leadership.

Dwivedi is also known for his popular weekly column “Halchal”, which is widely read for its sharp commentary on contemporary issues and burning topics. His strong editorial insight, teamwork, and administrative acumen have been instrumental in his professional growth.
