SECL Launches 21-Day “Summer Camp 2026” for Employees’ Children in Bilaspur


South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has officially launched its much-awaited “Summer Camp 2026” at its headquarters in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, as part of a major initiative focused on the holistic development of employees’ children.

The inauguration ceremony was held on May 18, 2026, at DAV Public School SECL Vasant Vihar under the theme “21 Days of Fun, Fitness and Learning.” The 21-day camp will continue until June 10, 2026, across multiple SECL operational areas.

The event was formally inaugurated by Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resources), who lit the ceremonial lamp and addressed students, parents, and officials during the opening ceremony.

Senior department heads from SECL headquarters, Joint Consultative Committee representatives, Welfare Committee members, and representatives from SC/ST Council and SISTA/OBC Associations were also present at the event.

Speaking at the inauguration, Biranchi Das emphasized the importance of extracurricular engagement in shaping children’s personalities and boosting their confidence. He encouraged students to actively participate in sports, arts, cultural activities, and innovation-driven learning programs alongside academics.

According to SECL officials, the camp has been specially designed to provide children with a balanced mix of education, creativity, physical fitness, and entertainment. The activities planned during the camp include:

  • Fitness and sports sessions
  • Arts and crafts workshops
  • Music and dance training
  • Creative learning activities
  • Robotics and innovation sessions
  • Personality development programs
  • Educational and recreational interactive classes

Organizers stated that the camp aims to help children discover and refine their talents while also developing teamwork, communication skills, and leadership qualities.

The inaugural event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere across the campus. The colorful and motivational environment reflected SECL’s continued commitment toward employee welfare and community development initiatives.
