elhi is once again holding its breath. The city’s dark underbelly is ready to tell another story; one that’s as disturbing as it is necessary. Netflix’s award-winning series ‘Delhi Crime’ is back with its season 3 and this time, it steps into the grim world of human trafficking.
Returning as DCP Vartika Singh, Shefali Shah once again puts on her police uniform and of course her emotional armor. Her character, known to fans as ‘Madam Sir’, has faced monsters before. But this season she’s about to meet her most dangerous rival yet: Badi Didi, played by Huma Qureshi.
Set to premiere on November 13, ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’ dives deep into a network that buys and sells lives; a trade that thrives in the shadows of cities that never stop moving. And in the middle of it all stands Vartika Singh trying to bring light to the darkness one case at a time.
Shefali Shah says slipping back into Vartika’s skin feels “deeply personal.”

“Her significance, both to me and in today’s times, has only grown stronger,” the actress shared. “Human trafficking isn’t just the act of a few. It’s a reflection of a society that chooses to look away. But Vartika doesn’t. She fights on, even if it means saving just one life.”
Huma Qureshi, joining the ‘Delhi Crime’ universe for the first time, takes on the role of Meena, or Badi Didi. She is a woman whose power comes from the pain of others. Playing such a complex antagonist, Huma admits, was a challenging experience.
“She’s shaped by trauma yet wields immense control,” Huma said. “She’s both a victim and a perpetrator. That’s what drew me in. ‘Delhi Crime’ doesn’t glorify evil. It shows it for what it is, raw and unsettling.”
Directed by Tanuj Chopra, the new season also sees the return of familiar faces: Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Jaya Bhattacharya, and Anuraag Arora. Joining them are Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar.
