Babita Ji of TMKOC Open to Marrying a Foreigner at 38, Reveals Crush on Korean Actors

Popular television actress Munmun Dutta, best known for her role as Babita Ji in the long-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is once again making headlines—this time for her candid views on love and marriage.

At 38, Munmun remains unmarried and continues to be one of the most admired faces on Indian television. Recently, she spoke openly about her thoughts on relationships, marriage, and the kind of partner she desires, sparking widespread discussion online.

“I Love Love, But I’m Not Chasing Marriage”

In a recent podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, Munmun shared that while she believes in love, she is not certain about marriage yet.
“I love love. I’m not very clear about marriage at the moment. If it’s written in my destiny, it will happen. I’m not someone who runs behind marriage,” she said.
The actress added that she never had a childhood dream of getting married in a particular way or to a particular kind of man.

What Kind of Partner Does Munmun Want?

When asked about her ideal partner, Munmun was refreshingly honest.
She said that she prefers someone who is good-looking, intelligent, financially stable, and has strong communication skills.
“I don’t like to lie. These are the qualities I genuinely look for,” she stated.

Interestingly, she also revealed that she currently has a strong crush on Korean actors, saying that she finds them very appealing.

Open to Marrying a Foreigner

Munmun also shared that she is open to marrying a foreigner. According to her, she often finds better compatibility with them.
“Indian men are a bit different,” she explained. “Foreigners are often born in one place and live in another, which broadens their thinking. Traveling changes your mindset. They tend to treat women with more respect.”
She added that she believes many Indian women would agree with her perspective.

Enjoys Compliments From Male Friends

In an older interview with The Times of India, Munmun had spoken about receiving compliments from her married male friends. She admitted that she enjoyed the appreciation and felt comfortable with it.
In the same interview, she emphasized that before settling down, she wanted to focus on achieving more in her career.

With her honest and bold statements, Munmun Dutta has once again proven that she is unapologetic about her choices—whether it’s love, marriage, or life on her own terms.
