Raipur: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has rejected allegations raised by the Congress regarding the names of candidates appearing in the Chhattisgarh Sub-Inspector examination, calling the claims misleading and an insult to young aspirants.
BJYM president Rahul Tikaria, addressing a press conference at Ekatm Parisar, accused the Congress of making baseless allegations against the BJP government out of political frustration.
Rahul Tikaria Hits Back at Congress
Tikaria said the Congress was increasingly disconnected from grassroots issues and was therefore attempting to target the BJP government through what he described as unfounded allegations.
He particularly objected to the manner in which Congress leaders had highlighted the names of candidates in connection with the Sub-Inspector examination.
According to Tikaria, the public discussion of the candidates’ names was irresponsible and objectionable, and he alleged that Congress leaders had displayed immaturity by directly involving and potentially humiliating young aspirants.
Citing CGPSC Documents
During the press conference, Tikaria said that documents subsequently released by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) clarified that the names of the candidates had appeared on the basis of the relevant documents submitted to the commission.
He argued that the clarification contradicted the manner in which the issue had been presented by Congress leaders.
Questions Bhupesh Baghel’s Social Media Post
Tikaria also referred to a social media post by former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, alleging that candidates were publicly embarrassed over the issue.
He said the candidates whose names were mentioned during the Congress press conference had themselves released videos explaining their position and putting forward their side of the matter.
BJYM Demands Public Apology
The BJYM president demanded that Congress leaders publicly apologize to the candidates whose names were disclosed and against whom allegations were raised.
Tikaria said young people appearing for competitive examinations should not be unnecessarily dragged into political controversies and that their reputation and dignity should be protected.
The BJYM maintained that the issue should be viewed in the context of the official documents and statements of the concerned candidates rather than political allegations.
