Sai government orders transfers and fresh postings of forest department officials across several districts of Chhattisgarh
Raipur, September 2, 2026: The Chhattisgarh government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle in the Forest and Climate Change Department, transferring and assigning new postings to 64 officers across the state.
The list includes officers serving at various levels, including Assistant Conservators of Forests, Sub-Divisional Forest Officers, Range Officers and officials holding other responsibilities.
According to the transfer order, the officers have been posted to their new positions on an administrative basis and temporarily until further orders.
Officers Transferred Across Several Districts
The reshuffle covers forest officials posted in several parts of Chhattisgarh, including Raipur, Bastar, Bijapur, Sukma, Surguja, Korea, Jashpur, Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari, Kanker, Gariaband and Kawardha, among other areas.
The large-scale movement has resulted in changes in responsibilities at forest divisions, sub-divisions, district unions and other departmental offices.
Key Postings From Raipur, Bastar and Kawardha
Among the transfers, Ram Kumar Sidar has been moved from Gaurela to the Kawardha Project.
Vijayendra Singh Thakur has been transferred from Udaipur to Bastar, while Anita Gupta has been posted from Sarangarh to the headquarters of the State Minor Forest Produce Federation in Nava Raipur.
Manoj Kumar Vishwakarma has been transferred from Dhamtari to Birgudi.
Changes in Bijapur and Sukma
Several changes have also been made in the forest administration of the tribal and Bastar regions.
Manoj Kumar Sahu has been attached to the Surguja Forest Division after being transferred from Odgi.
Vishwanath Nag has been transferred from Geedam to Sukma.
Nitish Rawat has been posted from Bhopalpatnam to Bemetara, while Prakash Netam has been given a new responsibility in Bijapur after being transferred from Awapalli.
New Postings in Bastar, Kawardha and Other Areas
The reshuffle also includes changes involving several other districts and forest offices.
Indra Prakash Banjare has been transferred from Bastar to the Bastar District Union.
Devendra Gaur has been moved from Bijapur to Awapalli, while Ashok Tiwari has been transferred from Surajpur to Kelhari.
R.S. Markam has been posted from Kanker to the Kanker Circle Office.
64 Officers Included in the Transfer Order
The official order contains details of all 64 officers, including their existing places of posting and their new assignments.
The transfers cover officials associated with forest divisions, sub-divisions, district unions, tiger reserves, wildlife sanctuaries and various departmental offices.
The reshuffle is expected to bring changes in administrative responsibilities across different forest regions of the state.
Order Issued From Nava Raipur
The Forest and Climate Change Department issued the transfer and posting order from Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on September 2, 2026.
The order has been signed by Special Secretary J.P. Pathak.
With 64 officers transferred or given new postings across multiple regions, the move represents one of the significant recent administrative reshuffles in the Chhattisgarh Forest Department.
