NEW DELHI : National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has announced a change in its senior management following the superannuation of V. S. Rao Amperayani, Executive Director (PF), on August 31, 2026.

With his retirement on August 31, he has ceased to hold the position of Executive Director (PF) at the company.

Disclosure Under SEBI Regulations

NALCO disclosed the development through a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The disclosure forms part of the company’s statutory reporting requirements concerning material changes in its senior management.

The company did not provide details regarding the appointment of a successor to the position in the filing.

Senior Management Transition at NALCO

The retirement marks a change in NALCO’s senior management structure as the company continues to operate across the aluminium value chain.

NALCO is a public-sector enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, with operations covering bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and related activities.

Executive Directors play an important role in overseeing key operational and administrative functions within the organisation. The position held by Rao Amperayani was therefore part of the company’s senior management framework.

What the Regulatory Filing Says

The company’s disclosure specifically stated that Rao Amperayani was a Senior Management Personnel positioned one level below the Board of Directors.

His cessation from the position followed his superannuation, which refers to retirement upon reaching the applicable age of retirement under the company’s service rules.

NALCO has not, as of the disclosed information, announced the name of a successor for the Executive Director (PF) position.

Significance of the Development

The retirement is part of the normal leadership transition process in public-sector enterprises, where senior executives periodically complete their tenure upon reaching the prescribed retirement age.

The appointment of a successor, once announced, will determine the next leadership arrangement for the functions overseen by the Executive Director (PF).

For investors and stakeholders, such regulatory disclosures provide transparency regarding changes involving senior management personnel and help track leadership developments within listed public-sector companies.
