Sakti / Jaijaipur : Hundreds of teachers under the leadership of the Chhattisgarh Assistant Teacher/Samagra Shikshak Federation, Jaijaipur Block Unit, took out a strong rally on Saturday, raising their voice over their long-pending and legitimate demands.
The teachers participated in the demonstration in a peaceful and democratic manner, displaying unity and discipline. Following the rally, the federation submitted a memorandum addressed to the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Hon’ble Governor through the Tehsildar, Jaijaipur, urging the government to take prompt action on their demands.
Three Major Demands Raised by Teachers
The federation placed three key demands before the government.
The first demand is the withdrawal of the mandatory TET requirement for teachers. The second is to remove pay discrepancies and provide the benefit of the promotional pay scale (Kramonnati Vetanman) in accordance with the commitments made under “Modi Ki Guarantee.”
The third major demand is to count service from the date of first appointment and provide pension benefits according to eligibility.
Federation representatives stated that these issues have remained pending for a considerable period and require immediate attention from the government. They urged the authorities to consider the teachers’ demands sympathetically and take appropriate decisions at the earliest.
Teachers Display Unity and Discipline
During the rally, teachers raised slogans in support of their demands and demonstrated their collective strength. The participants maintained discipline throughout the programme and conveyed their concerns through peaceful and democratic means.
Federation office-bearers said that the organisation would continue to pursue the teachers’ legitimate demands through democratic and organisational channels. They maintained that the struggle would be strengthened further until the pending demands are resolved.
Hundreds of Teachers Participate
The rally witnessed participation from hundreds of teachers and office-bearers of the federation’s Jaijaipur Block Unit.
Those present included Block President Gaurishankar Sahu, Working Block President Kumar Jeev Khatri, Women’s Cell Block President Mrs. Asha Dwivedi, Spokesperson Mrs. Jagriti Kashyap, District Spokesperson Ramprasad Mali, District Vice-President Gorelal Sahu, Patron Bhanuram Chandra, District Organiser Kunjbihari Kashyap, Block Secretary Pawan Kurre, District Office-bearer Jitendra Jangde, along with Kuleshwar Chandra, Nutram Dhirhe and Ramkusum Karsh.
Several other federation office-bearers, members of the Jaijaipur Block Unit, and a large number of teachers also participated in the programme.
The federation expressed hope that the government would seriously consider the pending demands of teachers and take a positive decision at the earliest.
