Sub-₹10 Cryptocurrency Delivers 50% Return in 7 Days, Leaves Bitcoin Far Behind

New Delhi:
While the cryptocurrency market has remained volatile for weeks, some digital assets have defied the broader slowdown and delivered exceptional returns. One such cryptocurrency is Canton, priced below ₹10, which has stunned investors by generating over 50% returns in just seven days, significantly outperforming Bitcoin.

According to market data, Canton was trading at $0.1081 (around ₹9.68) on Saturday afternoon. As per CoinMarketCap, the token has surged more than 13% in the last 24 hours alone, continuing a strong upward momentum that has been building for several days. Canton is currently ranked among the top 50 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, and it recorded the highest 24-hour gain among major cryptos.

7-Day Return Beats Bitcoin’s 22-Month Performance

Canton’s rally has clearly overshadowed Bitcoin’s performance. Just seven days ago, Canton was trading at $0.0711. Its rise to $0.1081 represents a gain of nearly 52% in one week.

In comparison, Bitcoin—widely regarded as the world’s most valuable and popular cryptocurrency—has struggled to match this pace. As of Saturday at around 3 pm, Bitcoin was trading at $88,917.91. Over the past 24 hours, it rose by less than 1%, while over the last seven days it has fallen by more than 2%.

Market analysts point out that Bitcoin took nearly 22 months to deliver returns comparable to what Canton achieved in just one week, highlighting the sharp contrast between large-cap and emerging cryptocurrencies.

Global Crypto Market Remains Unstable

Despite Canton’s impressive rise, the overall cryptocurrency market continues to experience fluctuations. The global crypto market capitalization has seen marginal improvement in the last 24 hours, returning to around $3 trillion.

Meanwhile, the Fear and Greed Index, which reflects investor sentiment, currently stands at 28, indicating fear in the market. At the end of last month, the index had dropped to 10, suggesting extreme fear, when many investors were selling aggressively due to falling prices.

High Returns Come With High Risk

Experts caution that while small-cap and low-priced cryptocurrencies can deliver rapid gains, they are also highly volatile and risky. Sudden price corrections are common, and investors are advised to conduct thorough research and assess risk tolerance before investing.

Canton’s recent surge has once again demonstrated that in the crypto market, big returns don’t always come from the biggest names—but they often come with significant uncertainty.
