Ensuring that information about government welfare schemes reaches rural areas and that eligible beneficiaries receive their rightful benefits remains our top priority, said Shrikant Pandey, President of the Mungeli District Panchayat. He was speaking as the chief guest at the Annual Function and Talent Felicitation Ceremony आयोजित at Maharani Lakshmibai Shishu Mandir School, Sonpuri (Pathariya).
Addressing the gathering, Pandey stated that proposals related to local development works should be prepared and submitted so that approvals can be obtained from the government at the earliest. He assured villagers that development-oriented works would be taken up on priority.
District Panchayat Member Representative Parmeshwar Singh Thakur, present as the special guest, appreciated the event and said that cultural programs help boost enthusiasm, confidence, and overall development among children. He also placed proposals related to road and drainage construction in Sonpuri before the District Panchayat President.
Janpad Panchayat Mungeli Chairman Pawan Pandey was also present at the program and addressed the audience. The program was conducted by Shubham Sharma, with special support from Nilesh Dhruv.
On this occasion, jawans from nearby villages who were selected into paramilitary forces including BSF, SSB, CISF, and CRPF were honored. Meritorious students of Classes 5 and 8 were also felicitated with shields and certificates for their academic achievements.
The event was attended by Sonpuri Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Manohar Dhruv, along with other senior officials and respected members of the community. The program was jointly organized by Maharani Lakshmibai Shishu Mandir Sonpuri and Government Primary School Sonpuri, and was successfully conducted under the leadership of Headmaster Resham Lal Sahu and Headmaster Rohit Thakur.
