Mumbai : Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has appointed K.M. Ravi Kumar as a Non-Official (Independent) Director on its Board, with effect from September 7, 2026.

According to the company’s stock exchange disclosure, Kumar will serve as an Independent Director for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

38 Years of Industry Experience

K.M. Ravi Kumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

He brings around 38 years of professional experience in structural fabrication and manufacturing involving mild steel (MS).

His professional background includes managing end-to-end operations in areas such as fabrication planning and quality assurance, giving him extensive experience in manufacturing and structural fabrication processes.

No Relationship With Other Directors

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has disclosed that K.M. Ravi Kumar has no relationship with any of the other directors of the company.

The company has also confirmed that Kumar is not debarred from holding the office of director by any order of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other statutory authority.
