Mahanagar Gas Inaugurates Two Safety Awareness Films at MGL House

Films Highlight CNG Fillermen Safety and Prevention of Third-Party Damage to Gas Infrastructure

Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has inaugurated two Safety Awareness Films at MGL House as part of its continued efforts to strengthen safety awareness and promote responsible practices across its operations.

The films were launched in the presence of Praveer Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director, MGL, and Ajay Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, along with members of the Senior Management Group and employees of the company.

Two Key Safety Areas Highlighted

The newly launched films focus on two important areas of operational and public safety:

1. CNG Fillermen Safety Awareness

The first film focuses on safety practices for CNG fillermen at CNG stations. It reinforces the importance of following established safety procedures, maintaining vigilance and adopting responsible behaviour while carrying out duties at CNG dispensing stations.

2. Third-Party Damage Awareness

The second film highlights the risks associated with damage to MGL’s gas infrastructure caused by external or third-party activities. It underlines the importance of exercising caution while undertaking activities near gas pipelines and other critical infrastructure.

Strengthening a Safety-First Culture

MGL emphasised that safety is a shared responsibility that requires awareness, vigilance and appropriate action at every level. The company said initiatives such as these films are aimed at improving understanding of potential risks and encouraging safer practices among employees and other stakeholders.

By using visual awareness tools to communicate key safety messages, MGL continues to reinforce its commitment to maintaining a strong safety-first culture across its operations.

MGL’s Continued Focus on Safety

The inauguration of the two films reflects MGL’s ongoing emphasis on safety awareness as an essential part of its operational practices. The company aims to ensure that employees, CNG station personnel and stakeholders remain aware of safety protocols and the potential consequences of unsafe activities around gas infrastructure.
