Mungel,। Collector Kundan Kumar chaired the weekly time-limit meeting at the Maniyari conference hall of the District Collectorate and conducted an extensive review of departmental schemes, ongoing activities, and progress indicators. He instructed officials to ensure improved performance across all departments.
Reviewing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being conducted under the directives of the Election Commission, the Collector appreciated the efforts toward achieving 100% digitization and said that the more effectively SIR is executed, the fewer claims and objections will arise later. He directed all teams to conduct the revision with utmost seriousness, transparency, and vigilance at every stage. He also reviewed mapping, planning, and other technical aspects under SIR and emphasized that no eligible voter should be left out of the revision process. He praised the work of sector officers and technical teams for their strong performance so far.
Focus on Paddy Procurement — Zero Tolerance for Illegal Trade
During the review of paddy procurement, the Collector assessed farmer registration, procurement progress, and monitoring systems. He said that paddy recycling must not occur under any circumstances, and strict surveillance should be maintained from procurement centers to transportation routes. He instructed officials to conduct raids and take action against illegal traders and middlemen involved in paddy diversion.
He further stressed that no farmer should be allowed to sell paddy grown on another farmer’s land and that such cases must be closely monitored. Special vigilance was instructed at barriers in forest-dominated areas to prevent unauthorised paddy transport. Reviewing land surrender data along with procurement status, he directed all SDMs to keep updated information on average productivity, land surrender, and procurement figures in their respective areas. The status of Agri-Stack registration was also reviewed.
The Collector instructed that token distribution and crop harvesting monitoring at every procurement center should be conducted regularly. He sought information on the progress of verification using the PV App and ordered fast and accurate completion of the process. Reviewing mill registration, he asked officers to complete all formalities within the time limit. Warning officers of strict action, he said negligence at any level will not be tolerated. A notice was issued against a mandi inspector for laxity in duty.
He instructed heightened surveillance in sensitive locations including Aurapani, Banjari, and Lamni to ensure no external paddy is procured. He also emphasized smooth banking services for farmers and directed that no farmer should face payment-related difficulties. Payments to large farmers should be made through cheques to ensure transparency and financial security, he added.
Review of Sports, Nutrition, and Welfare Schemes
Discussing the Sansad Khel Mahotsav, the Collector reviewed preparations, competition levels, registration status, and scheduling, and issued instructions for exemplary organization of events.
Reviewing the Women and Child Development Department, he assessed the district status of child malnutrition, Suposhan Chaupal activities, and progress under nutritional programs. Expressing dissatisfaction over poor progress in NRC, he instructed issuance of notices to DPO, DPM, CDPO, and Block Medical Officer, and also ordered the withholding of the DPO’s salary. He directed that maternal-child welfare schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Supplementary Nutrition Distribution, must be executed on time and with high quality.
Progress Review of Solar, Tribal Development, and Education Initiatives
The Collector reviewed installation work under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme and directed departments to accelerate progress while maintaining quality. Expressing displeasure over slow execution, he instructed that a report be sent to higher authorities regarding the Electricity Department’s Executive Engineer.
He also reviewed development activities under PM Janman, Dharati Aba Janjati Utkarsh Yojana, and PM Adarsh Gram Yojana, issued by the Tribal Development Department, and directed further progress.
In the Education Sector, he reviewed the Chief Minister Education Quality Campaign and 90-Plus Exam Result initiatives, directing for improved performance and timely completion of all targets. He reiterated that no negligence will be accepted in the implementation of any scheme.
