Total dividend distributed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited to all shareholders stands at ₹487.49 crore
New Delhi : Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has paid a final dividend of ₹283.56 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26.
The dividend amount corresponds to the Government of India’s 58.17% equity stake in BHEL. A cheque representing the dividend was presented by K. Sadashiv Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, to H. D. Kumaraswamy, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, in the presence of Kamran Rizvi, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry.
Directors of BHEL and senior officials from the Ministry of Heavy Industries were also present at the occasion.
Dividend More Than Doubles From Previous Year
The final dividend paid by BHEL to the Government of India for FY 2025-26 is more than two-and-a-half times the amount paid to the government in the previous financial year.
The company has distributed a total dividend of ₹487.49 crore to all its shareholders for FY 2025-26, reflecting its continued commitment to shareholder returns.
Government Remains Major Shareholder
With a 58.17% equity holding, the Government of India continues to be the majority shareholder in BHEL. The dividend payment to the government forms part of the company’s annual distribution to shareholders following the close of the financial year.
BHEL is one of India’s major public sector engineering and manufacturing companies, with a significant presence in the power and industrial sectors.
The latest dividend payout underscores the company’s contribution to the government as a majority shareholder and highlights its financial performance and shareholder distribution for FY 2025-26.
