New Delhi: The Travel & Vacations division of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NLC India Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Coal, to implement a Standard Self Booking Tool (SSBT) along with allied travel services.

The agreement is aimed at making travel management more convenient for NLC India employees by providing them with a digital platform through which they can manage their travel requirements.

Digital platform for travel management

Under the MoU, Balmer Lawrie Travel & Vacations will implement the SSBT platform for NLC India.

The digital tool is expected to streamline the travel booking process and provide employees with a convenient interface for managing their travel arrangements.

The platform will cater to both official and personal travel, giving employees greater flexibility in managing their journeys through a digital system.

Key features of the agreement

The MoU covers several important areas, including:

  • Implementation of the Standard Self Booking Tool (SSBT).
  • Provision of allied travel services.
  • Digital management of travel requirements for NLC India employees.
  • Support for both official and personal journeys.
  • Greater convenience and efficiency in the travel booking process.

MoU signed by senior officials

The agreement was formally signed by Ashok K. Gupta, Chief Operating Officer (Travel & Vacations), Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., and Raghavendra V. K., Chief Regional Manager, NLC India Limited.

The partnership brings together Balmer Lawrie’s expertise in travel management with NLC India’s requirement for a more streamlined and technology-driven travel booking system.

Push towards digital travel services

The implementation of the SSBT is expected to make the travel management process more efficient by shifting booking and related activities to a digital platform.

For NLC India employees, the system could simplify access to travel services while reducing the need for manual intervention in routine travel arrangements.
