Narayanpur, : In a significant initiative ahead of Independence Day, the Border Security Force (BSF) conducted the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign in the deep interior areas of Abujhmaad in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh.
The campaign was carried out by troops of 129 Battalion BSF, under Sector Headquarters BSF Raipur, with the objective of strengthening national integration, community confidence and the bond between security forces and local tribal communities.
Tiranga Reaches Previously Inaccessible Areas
For the first time, the national flag was proudly carried and hoisted by villagers in several remote areas of Abujhmaad, including:
- Koroskodo
- Hacchekoti
- Adnar
- Markabeda
- Adjoining interior villages
These areas were historically considered strongholds of Left Wing Extremism (LWE) and had remained largely inaccessible to security forces and outsiders.
The participation of villagers in the national campaign represents an important development in an area that has witnessed prolonged isolation and security challenges.
Flags, Chocolates and Biscuits Distributed
As part of the outreach programme, BSF personnel distributed National Flags, chocolates and biscuits among villagers and children.
Local residents responded enthusiastically to the initiative. Many villagers participated in the campaign and proudly displayed the Tiranga at their homes, adding a strong community dimension to the Independence Day celebrations.
From Isolation Towards Greater Connectivity
The participation of the tribal community in these remote locations carries considerable symbolic significance.
The initiative reflects a gradual shift from an environment historically associated with fear and isolation towards greater confidence, connectivity and engagement with government institutions.
For the BSF, the campaign was not limited to flag distribution. It also served as an opportunity to interact directly with residents and reinforce a message of peace, development and national unity.
BSF’s Outreach in Abujhmaad
The campaign highlights the security forces’ efforts to establish stronger connections with communities living in remote and difficult-to-access areas.
By reaching villages deep inside Abujhmaad, the BSF aims to strengthen public confidence and communicate that development and national integration must extend to even the country’s most remote regions.
