SAKTI, Chhattisgarh | — A police constable posted at the Hasaud Police Station in Sakti district, Chhattisgarh, was found dead on Saturday evening in an apparent case of suicide, sending shockwaves through the local police force and the community.
According to police officials, Constable Jai Kumar Lahare was discovered hanging in a room on the upper floor of the police station. Fellow officers immediately rushed him to the Hasaud Primary Health Centre, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Following the incident, the body was sent for a post-mortem examination before being handed over to the family. Authorities have registered a marg (unnatural death) case and initiated a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
