Congress Leader Pawan Khera Targets BJP and RSS Over Ram Temple Donation Controversy

Raipur, India: Congress national media and publicity department chairman Pawan Khera launched a sharp political attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during his visit to Raipur, accusing them of exploiting religious sentiments and questioning their role in the alleged Ram Temple donation controversy.

Khera arrived in Raipur late Sunday before heading to Abhanpur, where the Congress Party concluded its 10-day organizational training camp for party workers. Addressing the media ahead of the event, he stressed that political workers must be well-trained in today’s social media-driven political landscape. According to Khera, the training program focused on strengthening the party organization, improving communication strategies, and preparing workers for future political challenges.

Sharp Remarks on Alleged Ram Temple Donation Irregularities

Speaking about the alleged irregularities involving donations made to the Ram Temple, Khera claimed that the Ram Temple Trust was created under the influence and supervision of the RSS. He alleged that reports of financial misconduct involving temple donations were deeply concerning.

Khera stated that Lord Ram, who is revered for sacrificing power in defense of principles and righteousness, should never be associated with allegations of political gain or financial misconduct. He argued that such accusations, if proven, would undermine the faith and trust of millions of devotees.

Response to RSS Leader Indresh Kumar

Khera also responded strongly to recent remarks made by senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar. He claimed that the RSS had made no meaningful contribution to India’s freedom movement or historical struggles, while accusing the organization of damaging the country’s religious and cultural harmony.

Referring to incidents allegedly reported in Ayodhya and Ujjain, Khera said such controversies have weakened the credibility of organizations claiming to protect religious values. He further argued that the greatest harm to Hindu faith comes from those who misuse religion for political purposes.

Congress Focuses on Organizational Strength

The training camp in Abhanpur marks part of the Congress Party’s broader effort to strengthen its organizational structure ahead of future elections. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had also participated in the training program earlier, emphasizing ideological clarity and grassroots mobilization.

With Khera’s strong criticism of the BJP and RSS, political observers believe the Congress is preparing to intensify its campaign on both religious and ideological issues in the months ahead.

Political Context

Khera’s statements reflect the increasingly heated political debate between the Congress and the BJP, with both parties continuing to clash over issues involving religion, governance, and national identity. His allegations have added fresh momentum to the ongoing political discourse, while leaders from the BJP and RSS are expected to respond to the accusations.

Note: The allegations made by Pawan Khera are political claims. At the time of reporting, there has been no judicial finding establishing wrongdoing regarding the alleged Ram Temple donation controversy, and the BJP, RSS, or the Ram Temple Trust may contest these allegations.
