BILASPUR, India : South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organized a Special Cleanliness Drive at its Bilaspur Headquarters on Tuesday as part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada 2026, reinforcing its commitment to workplace hygiene, environmental responsibility, and public awareness.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from Director (Human Resources) Biranchi Das, Director (Technical – Projects & Planning) Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra, along with department heads, senior officials, employees, and women staff members. Participants actively took part in voluntary cleaning activities (Shramdaan), demonstrating their dedication to maintaining a clean, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
During the event, employees highlighted the importance of cleanliness, personal responsibility, and collective action in creating safer workplaces and promoting better public health. The initiative also encouraged staff to adopt cleanliness as a daily habit rather than a one-time activity.
The Swachhta Pakhwada 2026, being observed from June 16 to June 30, includes a series of awareness campaigns, sanitation drives, and community outreach programs across the SECL Headquarters and its various operational areas. Through these activities, the company aims to spread the message of cleanliness, environmental conservation, and social responsibility among employees and the wider community.
SECL officials said the fortnight-long campaign reflects the organization’s continued support for India’s nationwide Clean India Mission, while encouraging employees to contribute toward a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future through active participation and responsible practices.
