Pune, India | In a shocking development, Pune Police have arrested the fiancée of a prominent industrialist’s son, Ketan Agarwal, along with her alleged lover, in connection with his death at Lohagad Fort. Investigators now believe what was initially reported as a tragic accident was actually a premeditated murder.
According to police, Ketan Agarwal, the son of a well-known industrialist in Pune, died on June 19 after falling from a cliff while taking photographs at the popular tourist destination. Early reports suggested that he had slipped accidentally, but the investigation later uncovered evidence pointing to foul play.
Police allege that Siya Goyal, Ketan’s fiancée, and her alleged lover conspired to kill him. Investigators claim the pair pushed Ketan off the cliff, causing fatal injuries.
Officials also revealed that the June 19 incident was reportedly the second attempt to murder Ketan. During the investigation, police gathered evidence indicating that an earlier attempt had failed, after which the suspects allegedly planned another opportunity to carry out the crime.
According to investigators, the accused carefully chose Lohagad Fort, a popular hill fort known for its steep cliffs and scenic viewpoints, hoping the death would appear to be an accidental fall. However, inconsistencies in witness statements, forensic findings, and other evidence reportedly led police to suspect that the incident was not an accident.
Both Siya Goyal and her alleged lover have been taken into custody and are being questioned. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive, examine the suspects’ communications, and identify whether anyone else may have been involved in the alleged conspiracy.
