5,000 Teaching Posts to Be Filled Soon in Chhattisgarh School Education Department


Raipur: Thousands of young aspirants in Chhattisgarh are set to get a major boost in government employment as the School Education Department prepares to release an advertisement for the recruitment of 5,000 teaching and academic posts in government schools across the state.

According to official sources, the recruitment will cover posts of Assistant Teacher, Teacher, Lecturer, and Assistant Teacher (Science/Laboratory). The state government has authorized the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam) to conduct the recruitment examination.

All procedural formalities related to the issuance of the advertisement have been completed, and the necessary documents have already been submitted to CG Vyapam. With this, the long-pending recruitment process is expected to formally begin in February 2026.

Recruitment Through Written Examination

The selection of candidates for these 5,000 posts will be done through a written examination conducted by CG Vyapam. Detailed guidelines regarding eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and application process are expected to be released in the coming days.

Addressing Teacher Shortage in Government Schools

The recruitment drive is being undertaken following directives from the Chief Minister, with the objective of addressing the shortage of teachers in government schools across Chhattisgarh. Officials believe that this large-scale hiring will significantly improve the quality of education and ensure better student-teacher ratios in state-run schools.

Multiple Opportunities for Diverse Qualifications

The inclusion of various posts—ranging from lecturers to laboratory assistants—will provide opportunities for candidates with different educational qualifications, making this recruitment drive inclusive and wide-reaching.

Special Provision Under Direct Recruitment 2023

Under the Teacher Direct Recruitment 2023, during the fifth phase of recruitment for Assistant Teacher posts, 2,621 D.Ed.-qualified candidates were given appointment opportunities. This step was taken in compliance with court directives after the termination of services of B.Ed.-qualified candidates.

Officials stated that the recruitment will not only create employment for thousands of youths but will also play a crucial role in strengthening the state’s education system.
