🎤 Zubeen Garg Death Case: Singapore Toxicology Report Sent to SIT, Says Assam CM — “Justice Will Be Served”

A major development has emerged in the investigation into the death of Assam’s beloved singer and filmmaker Zubeen Garg. On Friday, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that the Singapore government has forwarded the toxicology report related to Garg’s death to the Assam CID.

However, the report has not yet physically reached Guwahati, where the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is conducting a detailed probe.

The Chief Minister stated that the SIT has made “substantial progress” and is on track to file the chargesheet within the stipulated timeframe.

> “The team is working day and night to ensure justice for Zubeen Garg,” said CM Sarma confidently.

⚫ Background

Zubeen Garg tragically passed away on September 19 in Singapore, reportedly during a yacht trip at sea. His sudden death sent shockwaves across Assam and the entire Northeast.

The state government promptly ordered a high-level probe to uncover the truth.

His mortal remains were flown back to Guwahati, where thousands of fans gathered to pay their last respects. Later, his ashes were immersed in the Brahmaputra River by his wife Garima Garg and family members.

The CID-led SIT has made several arrests in connection with alleged evidence tampering and concealment:

Shyamkanu Mahanta (festival organiser)

Siddharth Sarma (Zubeen’s manager)

Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amritprava Mahanta (bandmates)

Sandipan Garg (Zubeen’s cousin who accompanied him to Singapore)

Two of Zubeen’s personal security officers


All of them are currently in judicial custody.

🗣️ CM’s Appeal to the Public

CM Sarma urged people to have faith in the investigation and avoid politicising the sensitive case.

> “Those questioning justice for Zubeen Garg should reconsider their stance before December 15. The SIT’s diligent work will speak for itself.”



He also took a dig at opposition leaders, accusing Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi of ‘acting as a Pakistani agent’, which further escalated the political tension.
