State President Kiran Singhdeo Reviews Exhibition on New Criminal Laws Organised by Surajpur Police


“New laws are essential for strong policing” – State President Kiran Singhdeo

Surajpur: To raise public awareness about the provisions and reforms under the new criminal laws, Surajpur Police organised an exhibition on Thursday at the Kotwali premises. The exhibition highlighted major changes introduced for transparent, technology-driven and citizen-centric policing.

The exhibition was reviewed by Hon’ble State President Shri Kiran Singhdeo, Hon’ble Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Hon’ble Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Hon’ble State Organisation Minister Shri Pawan Say, and MLA Premnagar Shri Bhulan Singh Maravi. The dignitaries appreciated the attractive display models used for spreading public awareness on new legal provisions, women and child protection, Zero FIR, e-FIR facility and use of modern technology in policing.

DIG & SSP Surajpur briefed the guests on key components of the reformed justice system including rapid delivery of justice, inclusion of modern technology, various online police portals, child safety modules, and platforms such as Sashakt, Abhivyakti, Trinayan, and Samadhan.

Hon’ble Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal stated that the new criminal laws are committed to making the justice system faster, simpler and more citizen-oriented.
Hon’ble Agriculture Minister Shri Ramsevak Painkra said the new provisions significantly enhance the safety of women and children.
Hon’ble State President Shri Kiran Singhdeo emphasised that the laws are vital for strong policing and are already having a positive impact on judicial processes.
Hon’ble State Organisation Minister Shri Pawan Say applauded the police initiative, stating that such exhibitions help raise public awareness and ensure a transparent and efficient justice system.

DIG & SSP Surajpur informed that students, legal professionals, officers, employees of various departments and the general public will be provided detailed information about the new criminal laws through this exhibition. The initiative aims to further strengthen coordination and trust between the police and the community.
