The festival was conceptualized by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s statehood, and is now ready to take shape.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai unveiled the official logo of the Raipur Literature Festival today at his residence office. The ceremony was attended by Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Pankaj Jha, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy Mr. Shanshank Sharma, Secretary of Public Relations Dr. Rohit Yadav, and eminent writers Mr. Sushil Trivedi, Dr. Chitranjan Kar, Mr. Girish Pankaj, Dr. Sanjeev Bakshi, Mr. Pradeep Srivastava, and Mrs. Shakuntala Tarar.

Speaking at the unveiling event, the Chief Minister said,
“As Chhattisgarh celebrates 25 years of statehood, the Raipur Literature Festival becomes an important milestone of this grand celebration. This festival will not only offer a shared platform to leading literary figures from across India, but will also inspire the public toward reading, writing, and the world of literature. I am confident that this event will provide Chhattisgarh a new identity in the literary sphere and create a positive cultural discourse to support the state’s development.”

Three-Day Festival to Feature 11 Engaging Sessions

The large-scale event has been planned within just two months under the direct vision of the Chief Minister. The three-day festival will feature a total of 11 sessions, including:

  • 5 parallel theme-based sessions
  • 4 group sessions
  • 3 interactive dialogue sessions encouraging direct conversation between writers and participants

The venue for the event will be near the Tribal Museum in Nava Raipur.

Logo Reflects Chhattisgarh’s Deep Cultural and Literary Roots

The newly unveiled logo captures the essence of Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural and literary heritage. Designed as a symbolic fusion of tradition and modernity, the logo features:

  • The Salfi tree shaped like the map of Chhattisgarh, representing the nurturing foundation of culture and literature rooted in this land.
  • Elements highlighting Bastar’s biodiversity and tribal traditions, underscoring the central role of indigenous literature and oral knowledge traditions.
  • The phrases “Aadi se Anaadi tak” (From the beginning to eternity) and “Sursari Sam Sabke Hit Hoi” reflect the timeless and inclusive nature of Indian literature.

The symbolism emphasizes that literature, like a flowing river, integrates all communities, beliefs, and identities while guiding society toward collective welfare.

A Festival of Cultural Pride for Chhattisgarh

The Raipur Literature Festival logo stands as a matter of cultural pride for the people of Chhattisgarh. It expresses the continuity of the state’s literary legacy—deeply rooted since ancient times yet evolving with a modern creative vision. The festival aims to highlight Chhattisgarh’s strong literary foundations and carry forward its journey “from eternal origins into an enduring future.”

With anticipation building across the state and the Indian literary community, the Raipur Literature Festival is expected to become one of the most significant cultural events of 2026.
