Changing Crime Patterns, Adaptive Policing
Police officials said the arrest highlights how drug traffickers are increasingly changing their operational methods to evade law enforcement. Under the direction of Inspector General of Police (Raipur Range – Rural) Amresh Mishra and Superintendent of Police (Raipur Rural) Shweta Srivastava Sinha, Operation Nischay is being carried out with an intelligence-driven and surveillance-focused approach.
“Criminal networks are shifting tactics, but our strategies are evolving faster,” a senior police official said, emphasizing the use of micro-level surveillance and end-to-end investigation methods.
Hidden Chamber Used for Drug Storage
According to police, a specially constructed hidden chamber inside the house was used to store narcotics, cash, and weapons. During questioning, the accused admitted to possessing and selling drugs from her residence.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of City Superintendent of Police (Vidhan Sabha) Virendra Chaturvedi and led by Inspector Ramakant Tiwari, Station House Officer of Tilda-Neora.
Continued Crackdown
Police stated that sustained pressure under Operation Nischay has forced traffickers to abandon traditional routes and methods. However, law enforcement agencies remain committed to dismantling these networks through continuous intelligence inputs and targeted action.
Further investigation is underway to identify supply chains and possible links to larger drug trafficking networks.
