‘Pushpa 2’ Releases in Japan: Rashmika Mandanna Gets Emotional After Receiving Letters and Gifts from Fans


Tokyo/New Delhi: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s blockbuster film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, which created history at the box office in 2024, has now made its way to Japan. The film was officially released in Japan on January 16, and its premiere received an overwhelming response from fans. During the promotional visit, Rashmika Mandanna was showered with love in the form of heartfelt letters and beautiful gifts, leaving the actress deeply emotional.

Rashmika and Allu Arjun traveled to Japan to promote the film, where they attended several fan events. After returning home, Rashmika shared her feelings on social media, revealing how touched she was by the affection she received from Japanese fans.

Rashmika Shares Emotional Note

Rashmika Mandanna posted an Instagram story featuring a table filled with handwritten letters sent by her fans. Along with the image, she wrote that she had visited Japan only for a day, but the love she received in that short time was unforgettable.

“I went to Japan for just one day, and the amount of love I received even in that one day was truly heart-touching. I received so many letters and so many gifts, and I read every single one of them. I brought all the gifts home. I can’t explain how emotional I felt seeing all this love,” she wrote.
She further thanked her Japanese fans and added that she looks forward to visiting Japan again — next time for a longer stay — and even promised to learn more Japanese.

Gratitude for Japanese Fans

In another post, Rashmika shared photos and videos with Allu Arjun and the film’s producers from the Japan promotions. Expressing her gratitude, she wrote that Japan always fills her heart with happiness and that the warmth, kindness, and massive fan turnout there never change. She said she always leaves Japan feeling more grateful than before.

Promotional Events in Tokyo

Earlier, Rashmika had shared several pictures from promotional events in Tokyo, where she was seen recreating the iconic ‘Pushpa’ pose with Allu Arjun. Sharing the photos, she simply captioned them, “Thank you, Tokyo.”
When the Japan release was announced, she had also shared the Japanese trailer of ‘Pushpa 2’, greeting fans in Japanese and saying that Pushpa was now spreading its fire across the world.

Box Office Success of the ‘Pushpa’ Franchise

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, released in India in 2024, starred Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in key roles. The film earned a massive ₹1234.1 crore net collection in India and went on to collect ₹1742.1 crore worldwide, making it one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema history.

Its predecessor, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ (2021), had also performed exceptionally well, earning ₹267.55 crore net in India and ₹350.1 crore globally.

With its successful release in Japan and the immense love from international fans, Pushpa 2 continues to strengthen its global impact, proving that the franchise’s appeal goes far beyond Indian borders.
