PM Modi to Attend Five Major Events in Nava Raipur on November 1



Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on November 1 to participate in five major programmes marking the 25th foundation day of Chhattisgarh. The visit comes as part of the state’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.

According to officials, the Prime Minister will arrive in Raipur on the evening of October 31 and stay overnight before beginning his engagements the next morning. During the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee celebrations at the Rajyotsav Sthal in Nava Raipur.

He will also dedicate to the public the newly built Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum, the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building, and the ‘Shanti Shikhar’ training centre of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya. In addition, he is scheduled to interact with children recovering from heart surgeries at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur.

A high-level meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Jail) Manoj Pingua was held at the Rajyotsav venue to review preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit. Senior officials including Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, PWD Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Transport Secretary S. Prakash, Technical Education Secretary Dr. S. Bharathi Dasan, and Raipur SSP were present.

Pingua directed departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements for traffic, parking, sanitation, power supply, and communication. He also stressed on beautification of city intersections, efficient crowd management, and visitor amenities.

Three large domes are being constructed in front of the main stage, while around 60 LED screens and extensive seating arrangements are being set up for attendees. Two entry gates will regulate visitor flow—one of which will lead to a departmental exhibition showcasing state government initiatives, public enterprises, and a digital pavilion. A model of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses will also be displayed.

Officials said parking arrangements for 20,000 vehicles have been made on both sides of the venue. Additionally, 300 toilets, adequate drinking water points, and hospitality facilities are being installed. The Health Department will set up a 20-bed hospital with an ICU, along with 25 ambulances and several fire engines stationed at the site.
