Bhubaneswar : In the lead-up to International Women’s Day 2026, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) hosted a special leadership development program exclusively for its women employees at the company’s Learning & Development (L&D) Centre of Excellence in Bhubaneswar.

Titled “Redefining Leadership: Women at the Helm,” the training initiative focused on strengthening leadership capabilities, building confidence, and advancing women’s empowerment within the organization. The program brought together women professionals from NALCO’s Corporate Office for a day of interactive learning and professional development.

The sessions emphasized key leadership competencies tailored to women working in both corporate and operational roles. Participants engaged in management simulations, team-based exercises, and practical activities designed to enhance decision-making, communication skills, and strategic thinking.

A major highlight of the program was its focus on confidence building and assertiveness. Through guided discussions and experiential learning modules, attendees explored strategies to overcome workplace challenges, break traditional barriers, and prepare for higher leadership responsibilities.

The initiative also provided guidance on career advancement, mentorship opportunities, and fostering a supportive professional network. Employees actively contributed to knowledge sharing and collaborative dialogue, creating an environment that encouraged personal growth and mutual support.

By organizing this program ahead of International Women’s Day, NALCO reaffirmed its commitment to gender diversity and inclusion. The company continues to prioritize initiatives that empower women professionals and prepare them to take on leadership roles across the organization.

Industry observers note that such targeted development programs reflect a broader shift toward inclusive corporate cultures in India’s public sector enterprises, positioning companies like NALCO to build stronger, more diverse leadership pipelines in the years ahead.
