Massive Turnout Marks BJP Nomination Rally in Assam; Deputy CM Arun Sao Leads Campaign Push

Dhemaji/Lakhimpur, Assam: Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in a high-energy nomination rally in Assam’s Dhemaji district, drawing thousands of supporters and signaling strong momentum ahead of the upcoming state elections.

The rally witnessed a massive public turnout, with roads, streets, and major intersections across Dhemaji filled with enthusiastic supporters. BJP candidates Dr. Ranoj Pegu and Jibon Gogoi formally filed their nomination papers for the Dhemaji and Sissiborgaon constituencies, respectively, amid a show of strength by party workers and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, Arun Sao described the overwhelming support as a “clear indication” of the BJP’s expected victory in the upcoming elections. He emphasized the achievements of the “double-engine government,” highlighting rapid development and governance under the leadership of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

“The people of Assam have witnessed transformative development and are eager to continue this journey. The enthusiasm seen here reflects their trust in BJP’s leadership,” Sao said.

He also expressed confidence that the BJP would once again form the government in Assam under Sarma’s leadership.

The rally was attended by Pradan Baruah, along with party officials and a large number of grassroots workers.

Intensive Organizational Meetings Strengthen Campaign Strategy

During his three-day visit to Assam, Arun Sao conducted a series of organizational meetings across key constituencies, including Dhemaji, Dhakuakhana, Lakhimpur, and Ranganadi. He also held discussions in Naoboicha with leaders and workers of the NDA ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).

The meetings focused on refining election strategies, addressing local issues, and intensifying grassroots outreach efforts. BJP candidate Rishiraj Hazarika and AGP candidate Basant Das were among those present, reaffirming unity within the alliance.

“Make Every Booth Strong” Call to Action

Reinforcing the party’s grassroots strategy, Sao urged workers to adopt the slogan “Mera Booth, Sabse Majboot” (Make Every Booth the Strongest). He stressed the importance of active participation at the booth level to ensure effective voter outreach and organizational strength.

“A strong organization backed by dedicated workers is the key to taking our message to every voter,” he said.

With sustained campaign efforts, large-scale public engagement, and coordinated alliance strategies, the BJP is intensifying its push to retain power in Assam in the 2026 Assembly elections.
