SP’s Appeal: Ensure Road Safety, Do Not Allow Minors to Drive
SP Shri Bhojram Patel emphasized that the campaign will continue with strictness and consistency to improve traffic management and reduce accident rates in the Lormi region.
He issued a strong appeal to citizens, especially parents and guardians:
- Strict ban on underage driving: No minor (below 18 years) should be permitted to operate any vehicle. If a minor is caught driving, legal action will be taken against the vehicle owner/guardian under the Motor Vehicles Act.
- Mandatory helmet and seatbelt use: Two-wheeler riders must wear helmets, and four-wheeler drivers must use seatbelts.
- Avoid overspeeding: Excessive speed remains a major cause of serious accidents.
Collective Responsibility
The police urged the public to follow traffic rules diligently, stating that road safety is a shared responsibility.
The Lormi Police team played a key role in executing the successful operation.
