New Delhi: Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) organized its first-ever Cultural Day, titled ‘Taana Baana’, marking a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and the enduring spirit of unity in diversity.
The event brought together HUDCO employees and their families for a colorful showcase of traditions, art, music, dance, and regional cuisine from across the country, fostering a strong sense of community and shared cultural pride.
Leadership-Led Inauguration
The program was inaugurated by Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO, along with M. Nagaraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Vineet Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer. Their presence marked a ceremonial beginning to what HUDCO expects to develop into an annual tradition.
The celebrations were further elevated by the presence of K. G. Suresh, Director of the India Habitat Centre, whose participation added distinction to the occasion.
Showcasing Culture and Community Spirit
A highlight of the event was a cultural walk featuring HUDCO employees dressed in traditional attire representing different Indian states, symbolizing the nation’s diversity through artistic expression and visual storytelling.
Employees also prepared and shared authentic regional cuisines, offering attendees a culinary journey across India. The celebrations were enriched by folk music and energetic dance performances, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy throughout the venue.
Through ‘Taana Baana,’ HUDCO reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity, togetherness, and cultural harmony, strengthening interpersonal bonds among employees while honoring the country’s diverse traditions.
