A heart-warming farewell was accorded to Le. Colonel Ashok Kumar, who is set to retire from SECL Headquarters, Bilaspur, on 30 November 2025. The farewell ceremony was held on 29 November 2025 in the CMD Chamber at the SECL Headquarters.
The event was graced by Director (Human Resources) Biranchi Das as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Deputy General Manager (HR–Administration/Public Relations) Manish Srivastava, heads of various departments, labour union representatives, personnel of the security department, and a large number of officers and employees.
During the ceremony, Le. Colonel Ashok Kumar was felicitated with a shawl, coconut and floral garland, and was presented with a cheque of all payable dues, marking his formal retirement.
In his address, Director (Human Resources) Biranchi Das praised the contribution of Lt. Colonel Ashok Kumar and said:
“Le. Colonel Ashok Kumar is dutiful, friendly and highly capable of delivering results even in challenging situations. His harmonious relations with both senior management and subordinates made him immensely popular across the organisation. Through his dedication and skills, he has played an important role in taking SECL to new heights of success. His contributions will always be remembered.”
He also extended his warm wishes for a bright future and a happy family life for the retiring officer.
Expressing gratitude towards the organisation, Le. Colonel Ashok Kumar said:
“It has been a matter of great pride to serve in SECL. During my tenure here, I consistently received affection, support and guidance from top management and colleagues. The respect and sense of belonging shown by my subordinate staff is a priceless treasure that I will always cherish.”
The programme was anchored and the profile of the retiring officer was presented by Manager (HR–Industrial Relations) Varun Sharma.
