Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary awarded Executive MBA degree to qualifying Officers of 64th NDC course ( 2024 batch). Prof P. Haridoss, Dean Academic Course IIT Madras & Team from Department of Management Studies, IITM were the Guest of Honour for the convocation ceremony. In August 2024, IIT Madras partnered with NDC to offer an Executive MBA Programme in ‘Strategic Leadership and Public Policy’.
This user-oriented program lasting one year includes a 48-week duration with lecture-based courses and practical modules, including a thesis. A statement from the Ministry of Defence stated that the programme is aimed at the intellectual development and strategic enculturation of selected senior officers of the armed forces of India and friendly foreign countries, along with civilian government services of India (IAS, IPS, IRS, DRDO, etc.), for higher leadership positions.
The programme has 120 members drawn from the Indian Armed Forces, Indian Civil Services, Indian Police Services and other organs of the Government. They are selected after a rigorous screening process. The course also includes officers from friendly foreign countries.
