CONCOR Permanently Absorbs Senior IRTS Officer Shrikant V. Janbandhu as Group General Manager

New Delhi : Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, has announced a change in its senior management with the permanent absorption of Shri Shrikant V. Janbandhu, currently serving as Group General Manager (C&O).

According to the company’s disclosure to the stock exchanges, Shri Janbandhu has been permanently absorbed into the services of CONCOR with effect from August 6, 2026.

The company issued the related office order on August 12, 2026, and disclosed the development in accordance with applicable securities regulations.

Permanent Absorption into CONCOR

Shri Shrikant V. Janbandhu is currently serving as Group General Manager (C&O) at CONCOR. His permanent absorption marks a formal transition from his previous government service arrangement into the regular services of the company.

The move is expected to further strengthen CONCOR’s senior management team by retaining an experienced Indian Railway officer with a background in railway operations, traffic management and public-sector infrastructure.

Shri Shrikant V. Janbandhu’s Professional Background

Shri Janbandhu is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer and has extensive professional experience in the Traffic Department of Indian Railways as well as RITES Limited.

Prior to joining CONCOR, he served as Executive Director (Coaching) at the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways.

His experience in the railway sector includes exposure to operational and administrative responsibilities, providing him with significant understanding of railway traffic and transportation systems.

Educational Qualifications

Shri Shrikant V. Janbandhu holds an MBBS degree and a BA (Additional) in Psychology.

His combination of professional experience and academic qualifications adds to his diverse background in public-sector and railway-related responsibilities.

Significance for CONCOR

CONCOR plays a key role in India’s rail-based logistics and container transportation ecosystem. The permanent absorption of a senior IRTS officer with experience in the Railway Board and railway traffic administration is expected to support the company’s leadership and operational capabilities.
