This year’s theme, “Healthy Mines, Healthy Nation,” highlights the growing emphasis on occupational health, preventive medicine, and the development of robust healthcare systems for workers in mining areas. Renowned medical experts and subject specialists will deliver lectures on a wide range of contemporary issues, including occupational diseases, industrial health, emergency medical management, lifestyle-related illnesses, mental health, and the expansion of modern healthcare facilities in mining belts.

One of the major highlights of CIMECON 2026 will be the presentation of research papers by doctors from Coal India’s subsidiary companies. These papers will showcase innovations, field studies, and best practices being implemented to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes in mining regions.

Organizers said the conference will serve as a key platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and coordination within Coal India’s medical network, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare services for mine workers and their families.

Hosted in Bilaspur, the event is also being seen as a matter of pride for the state of Chhattisgarh, underlining its role in advancing occupational and industrial healthcare in India’s mining sector.
