Bilaspur : Brajesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Coal India Limited, on Monday emphasized that a strong culture of transparency and accountability will propel the company to greater heights, outlining a four-point mantra — “Reform, Transform, Perform, Inform.”
Tripathi was speaking during a special lecture on the theme Mission CIL@2026 at the headquarters of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) in Bilaspur.
In his keynote address, Tripathi stressed that transparency, accountability, and information-sharing are essential for sustainable organizational success. He urged officers and employees to uphold integrity as the highest workplace value and administered the Integrity Pledge during the session.
“Through Reform, Transform, Perform and Inform, we can take Coal India to new heights. Continuous self-improvement and institutional refinement are essential to achieving this vision,” Tripathi said. He added that meaningful reform must go beyond processes and systems, reflecting in mindset and conduct as well.
The session was attended by N. Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Technical/Operations); Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resources); Himanshu Jain, CVO, SECL; Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra, Director (Technical/Planning & Projects); along with department heads and employees.
Earlier in the day, Tripathi interacted with students at DAV School, highlighting the importance of honesty and ethical values from an early age. Addressing the students, he remarked, “The foundation of a strong nation rests on citizens of strong character.”
During his visit, Tripathi also reviewed the DigiCoal War Room at the SECL headquarters. Officials briefed him on digital monitoring systems, real-time data analytics, and technology-driven decision-making processes currently in place. Appreciating the initiatives, he noted that technology serves as a powerful enabler of transparency, efficiency, and optimized resource utilization.
