Bengaluru : BEML Ltd on Monday held a high-level internal meeting at its corporate headquarters in Bengaluru to deliberate on the organization-wide implementation of the ‘Seva Sankalp’ resolution, aligning itself with the Government of India’s renewed emphasis on citizen-centric governance.
The meeting was chaired by Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, and was attended by all Functional Directors and senior executives. Representatives from the company’s manufacturing complexes and regional offices also participated.
During the meeting, the ‘Seva Sankalp’ resolution was formally presented to officers, reaffirming BEML’s commitment to embedding its core principles across all levels of the organization. Detailed discussions followed on integrating the spirit of the resolution into day-to-day operations as well as BEML’s long-term strategic planning, with a strong focus on strengthening citizen-first governance and contributing to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The ‘Seva Sankalp’ resolution was adopted at the first Union Cabinet meeting held at the newly inaugurated Seva Teerth on February 24, 2026. The resolution reflects a shift in governance philosophy rooted in the principle of Nagrik Devo Bhava—placing citizens at the center of public service—and aims to enhance ease of living for India’s 1.4 billion people.
Providing additional perspective, MGG Raju, Executive Director (Human Resources), said the resolution represents more than a symbolic commitment and should serve as a foundational ethos for all government organizations. He urged employees to adopt a proactive, service-oriented mindset to ensure that BEML’s operational growth translates into measurable benefits at the grassroots level.
