Adani Group Makes Major Move in Aviation, Acquires FSTC for ₹820 Crore

Mumbai: The Adani Group has taken a significant step to strengthen its presence in the aviation sector by acquiring a major stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC). The deal has been completed at an enterprise value of approximately ₹820 crore. The acquisition was carried out by Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited (ADSTL) in partnership with Prime Aero Services.

With this strategic move, the Adani Group—already a dominant force in airport operations—now expands into the crucial domains of pilot training and flight simulation, positioning itself as a comprehensive aviation services powerhouse.

India’s Largest Flight Training Company Now Joins Adani

FSTC is recognized as India’s largest independent flight training company, operating advanced simulation centres in Gurugram and Hyderabad. The company also runs major flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul (Haryana), offering both technical and flight training programs for aviation professionals.

What FSTC Brings Under the Adani Umbrella

FSTC currently operates:

  • 11 full-flight simulators
  • 17 training aircraft
  • Dual approvals from DGCA and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)
  • Globally recognized training programs

Simulator-based training is increasingly considered the future of aviation training—safer, cost-effective, and capable of delivering consistently high-quality results.

Adani’s ‘One-Stop Aviation Solution’ Strategy

The Adani Group already owns aviation maintenance companies such as Air Works and Indamer Technics, both leaders in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services. With the addition of pilot training under its umbrella, the conglomerate now integrates:

Maintenance + Training + Airport Management — all under one roof.

This positions Adani to build a seamless, end-to-end aviation ecosystem in India.

A Step Toward an Integrated Aviation Platform

Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, described the acquisition as a foundation for a future-ready “integrated aviation platform.” He emphasized that this move will help India strengthen its global standing in aircraft maintenance and pilot training.

The acquisition marks a major milestone for the Adani Group, solidifying its commitment to shaping the future of India’s aviation capabilities.
